Robert called Peak Structural after seeing a long crack running across the west wall of his basement. The conditions of the wall required reinforcement to prevent any further structural damage. After a complete inspection, Peak Structural proposed 8 PowerBrace installations. The PowerBraces now reinforce the wall as can be seen in the picture.
This poured reinforced concrete wall was just no match for the expanding soil forcing upon it. The FSI PowerBrace permanently stabilizes cracking walls.
Large cracks in basement walls can indicate a variety of foundation concerns. This Aurora homeowner began noticing small, hairline cracks in his basement walls several years ago, but it wasn't until recently that the cracks began to widen. The walls next to the window well were beginning to show signs of early bowing, so a GeoLock Wall Anchor system was installed, as shown here.

As this Aurora homeowner began the process of selling his home, he found that the small cracks in his basement were going to be a big problem. In order for the buyer to receive a loan to purchase this home, the structural issues needed to be resolved. That was when he called Peak Structural.
When Design Specialist Ross Schaulis conducted his evaluation of the home, he found that most of the home appeared to be in good shape. The floors didn't noticeably slant, there weren’t many cracks in the drywall upstairs and the windows and doors didn't stick. Once he went to the basement, however, he found several noticeable cracks in the concrete foundation walls that clearly indicated some settlement. Ross then did an elevation survey for the entire first floor using a Zip Level and discovered that indeed the back two walls had a significant amount of settlement.
Ross proposed the installation of 8 Foundation Supportworks Push Piers to permanently stabilize the walls and prevent future settlement. The installation took a total of two days, and now this homeowner can happily move forward with selling his home.
Joe V. had increasingly bowing walls in his home for years, and one day he decided to do something about it. Joe wasn't sure if he was ready to move forward with work just yet, but he wanted to see what the work scope he was looking at entailed. His first step was calling Peak Structural to come out and perform a free estimate.
Brandy Mahan came out and evaluated not only the bowing walls Joe had concerns about, but the entire foundation. This immediately impressed Joe and he was even more ecstatic when she gave him the total cost. Joe decided to move forward with work right away, and the work was scheduled a week later. Installing 6 Geo-Lock Wall Anchors, the crew took only one day and performed the final walk-through with Joe before dinner time.
Joe now has straightened walls and peace of mind in knowing that his walls are safe from further movement.
