This homeowner's crawl space was an unusable area filled with dirt and debris, and the floors above were beginning to sag considerably. They contacted Peak Structural to encapsulate their crawlspace and replace the jacks that were supporting the floors above. CleanSpace 20 mil Vapor Barrier was installed, allowing the homeowners to use this as a new storage space, and 3 SmartJacks replaced old, rusted jacks, giving the floors above a much needed lift.

Mark and Judy M. in Thornton, CO contacted Peak Structural for help with their settling foundation. Upon the initial estimate, it was determined that the best solution would be to stabilize the foundation using 17 push-piers installed into the interior of the crawlspace and 12 push-piers installed to the interior of their basement. This process allows the foundation to settle, while keeping the house level.
Crew Foreman Dustin Wheeler, and his team of installers Brian and Luis, worked diligently through torrential rains to get the job done in timely fashion.

When this Morrison, CO homeowner first purchased his home, he enjoyed the view living on the side of the hill gave him the most. Over the next few years, however, he began notice the downsides of living on a slant. The walls were starting to crack excessively, the doors and windows were beginning to stick, all occuring very rapidly. So he decided to call Peak Structural.
Design Specialist Isaac Vigil came out to inspect the foundation and found that the house had been built on a hill, causing the Southeast portion of the foundation to slowly slide in a downward direction. Add in major flooding, and the settling process is greatly accelerated.
15 Foundation Supportworks Push Piers were installed strategically around the foundation, permanently stabilizing the home from any further movement. The homeowner now no longer has to worry about what further damage the foundation will cause to his home, and he can once again enjoy the beautiful view, worry free.
As this Aurora homeowner began the process of selling his home, he found that the small cracks in his basement were going to be a big problem. In order for the buyer to receive a loan to purchase this home, the structural issues needed to be resolved. That was when he called Peak Structural.
When Design Specialist Ross Schaulis conducted his evaluation of the home, he found that most of the home appeared to be in good shape. The floors didn't noticeably slant, there weren’t many cracks in the drywall upstairs and the windows and doors didn't stick. Once he went to the basement, however, he found several noticeable cracks in the concrete foundation walls that clearly indicated some settlement. Ross then did an elevation survey for the entire first floor using a Zip Level and discovered that indeed the back two walls had a significant amount of settlement.
Ross proposed the installation of 8 Foundation Supportworks Push Piers to permanently stabilize the walls and prevent future settlement. The installation took a total of two days, and now this homeowner can happily move forward with selling his home.
When this Englewood homeowner began noticing creaking in his floors, he attributed the issue to an older home, but when he dropped a marble in his kitchen and watched it roll into the middle of his floor, he realized that his floors were now sagging. He decided to give Peak Structural a call, knowing that they are the crawlspace experts.
When Design Specialist Ross Schaulis arrived at the property, he immediately noticed sagging floors above the crawlspace, and upon further investigating, he found there were no supports below. He proposed the easy installation of two Foundation Supportworks SmartJacks. The installation took a half day, and this Englewood homeowner can now rest easy that he is fully supported in his kitchen with a lifetime guarantee.
When this Thornton homeowner went to check on his rental property before the new tenants move in, he did not expect to have much work to do on the home. Unfortunately, when he arrived, he found cracks throughout the interior and exterior of the house. The brick along the front had started cracking and the doors and windows had become very difficult to open. That was when he called Peak Structural.
When Design Specialist Brandy Mahan arrived at the home, her evaluation of the foundation and surrounding soils found that there were extremely expansive soils around the property, causing severe shifting and settling.
Brandy proposed the installation of 13 Foundation Supportworks Helical Piers. The installation took a total of 3 days, which the homeowner was very pleased about because he could now see the completed project before returning home. He can now guarantee there will be no further movement in the home, so he can continue renting the property over the upcoming years.
When Neal H. started noticing cracking throughout his basement walls, he became very nervous about the structural integrity of his home. That's when he decided to call Peak Structural for a free estimate.
System Design Specialist Brandy Mahan evaluated the cracks on Neal's walls, and discovered that the way the cracks ran along the walls indicated that the wall was bowing inward. She proposed installation of 6 Foundation Supportworks Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to remedy the problem.
The installation took a total of two days, to which Neal was very pleased about. First, holes were augured a specific distance from the outside of the bowing wall. On the interior of the wall, a small hole is drilled and a rod is driven out towards the hole outside. An earth anchor is installed and attached to the outside end of the rod, while a wall plate is attached on the interior of the wall. The dirt and sod is replaced over the earth anchor and the wall plate is tightened. The wall plate can be tightened over time to help straighten the wall as well.
Neal was very pleased with the final project. He can now rent out the basement of his home without worrying about further structural damage.
Dani G. has always loved her home, until she noticed her basement wall was beginning to lean. That's when she called Peak Structural to provide a free estimate.
Brandy came out to inspect the house and, as Dani suspected, there were forces causing the wall to lean. Brandy explained that this is a very typical situation here in Colorado, as the soils are expansive due to the constant wet and dry cycles, then got right to work on a solution unique to Dani's situation. Dani agreed that four Geo-Lock Wall Anchors would be the best fix for her concerns.
After one day's worth of installation, Dani can now rest easy knowing that her basement wall is secured with a lifetime warranty from Peak Structural.
Joe V. had increasingly bowing walls in his home for years, and one day he decided to do something about it. Joe wasn't sure if he was ready to move forward with work just yet, but he wanted to see what the work scope he was looking at entailed. His first step was calling Peak Structural to come out and perform a free estimate.
Brandy Mahan came out and evaluated not only the bowing walls Joe had concerns about, but the entire foundation. This immediately impressed Joe and he was even more ecstatic when she gave him the total cost. Joe decided to move forward with work right away, and the work was scheduled a week later. Installing 6 Geo-Lock Wall Anchors, the crew took only one day and performed the final walk-through with Joe before dinner time.
Joe now has straightened walls and peace of mind in knowing that his walls are safe from further movement.
In 2011, Victoria D. had the Smartjack System installed to stabilize the floor joists in her crawlspace. After the heavy floods in late 2013 in the Golden, CO area, Victoria contacted Peak Structural to come out and examine the recent damage.
Because Victoria had the Smartjack System in place, the structure of her home was saved as the concrete patio outside her home was washed away in the torrential floods. Made of industrial strength, galvanized steel, the Smartjack columns are secured to the existing floor joists in the crawlspace, lifting and securing the floor above.
Victoria is grateful that Peak Structural could not only secure the structure of her home in 2011, but that she could rest easy that heavy rains did not take the structure of her home along with her patio.
